Airgun Angie’s Umarex Forge .177, Don’t Scope It Yet

Before I mount a scope on my Umarex Forge .177, I want to see if my Springer is naturally accurate. I can do this with this one because it comes with Tru Glow Micro Click open sights. I’m shooting the RWS Superdome pellets, up close and comfortable at ten yards first. Then I’ll move back. If I can’t get decent accuracy without a scope it’s either the gun or the shooter. How to tell the difference? If my hold is consistent and my trigger pull is just that and I’m not pulling the entire rifle one way or the other, then I will know it’s the gun and not the shooter. Let’s find out!

About Backyard Shooting:

We started the Backyard Shooting (BYS) facebook page after a lot of thought and planning. We will be geared towards teaching people of all ages and sexes about airguns, shooting, gun etiquette and lots more. We are aiming this site at people with little to no experience with guns of any kind. We hope to educate others as we are educated ourselves on everything shooting sports related.
